Alec Andrew Duboise

Born: 1899, Russelville, Lawrence County, Alabama
Father: Andrew Thomas Duboise
Mother: Nancy "Sissy" Fisher

Alec at his brother's funeral with sun shining in his face. At 100 years old, he still has his orignal teeth and dark hair and has never worn glasses. He is such a wonderful man with fantastic humor and personality.

Once he went to the doctor with stomach problems and had never been in a hospital in his life, but had to go as the doctor told him he would not live without an operation. Alec said "doc, do you want to use my knife?", as he pulled it from his pocket.

Another time, we went to a reunion and when I looked around for him to say goodbye, I found him on the back of a motor cycle!

He told me he used to go dancing every night, "until his girlfriend had to up and die on him." He's full of wonderful stories.

Last month (it had been a few years) I saw him and he said, "you look older than you did last time." I replied, "I am just trying to catch up with you!"

In 1900, he was living Iuka, MS, in the house of his grandparents, John Duboise and Mary Frances Clarke, who he told us were never officially married. That same year his father ran away with another woman.
