It's a Small World

by Mary Frazier Reed

My e-mail address is bobreed@macomb.com
and I live in Macomb, IL.

This really
happened to me When gathering obits of grandparents for our kids, I found my husband's grandfather was born just 15 miles from where we have lived for 27 years.

We went to the Warren County, IL courthouse and found his great great grandparents were buried in a little cemetery we have driven past at least once a month for 26 years.

By writing a letter to the editor in an Iowa town, we found mentioned in the will, we found a third cousin who told us Bob had cousins right here in Macomb. They were people we had known for years.

So far, with the help of Bob's new found cousins, we have 55 pages in the Reed family history.
