Serendipity...genealogical discoveries with a little help from above.

A True Land-mark!

by Jo Hogle

My e-mail address is JoBrd@aol.com
and I live in Minnesota.

This really happened to me In 1986 I fell into unexpected ownership of a house I had rented in the town where my mother's family had lived for generations. From conversations with my grandmother's brother, I learned that my greatgrandfather had been born on the family farm on the shore of a lake near where I lived.

I checked out the old plat maps and the abstract, and discovered that my home stood on land that had once been owned by my ggggrandfather, and my interest in genealogy was instantly spawned!
