| Mainly in CT: Challenge Morgan was married to Lydia Brainerd, a daughter of Aaron Brainerd and Lydia Homer. They had 4 children: Challenge Jr. (born 1822), Rhoda (born 1823), Lorinda (born 1830), and Lucy (born 1832). Lucy was my 3rd great-grandmother. She married Joseph Holmes. One of their sons, Frank J. Holmes was my 2nd great-grandfather. He was married to Abagail Chapman, and they had 8 children, all born in Meriden, CT. One of their daughters, Grace Holmes, was my great-grandmother. She had my grandfather, Roland R. Holmes, 28 Dec 1906, in Bristol, CT. He married my grandmother, Mildred Gregory and they had 7 children, including my father, Robert R. Holmes.
