Genealogist's Index
To the World Wide Web

Traditional search engines have all kinds of things you're not interested in. Our indexed genealogy not only focuses on site links, but also includes a SOUNDEX cross reference to help you find those "almost matches" that other search engines miss alltogether.

This genealogy search is provided FREE of charge to researchers.

We've been cataloging and indexing sites on the WWW with information of interest to genealogists for five years and now the free search is available at Genealogy Today. The genesis of GIWWW was about 1993 with the GEDCOM files and message boards on AOL and GEnie. I was involved in the boards and saw that a definitive index to the messages was needed to aid researchers. When I began working with the startup of The USGenWeb Project I continued my focus on the indexing of the query pages and other information as it came on line.
