Genealogy Today (www.genealogytoday.com) announced that Family Tree Connection, a subscription service offering researchers access to unique family history information, has surpassed 600,000 names this month.
The Family Tree Connection is a collection of data indexed from a variety of secondary sources including Masonic rosters, church records, vintage telephone directories, high school and college yearbooks, club and society member lists, insurance claims and much more. All of the information is carefully recorded along with the source, date, location and page number. Most of the records are from between the years 1830 and 1930, making the database an excellent supplement to U. S. Census research.
"This is one of the only online collections that is expanded with new names every weekday," explained Illya D'Addezio, owner of Genealogy Today. "Since the entire collection it completely searchable, you'll save so much time locating your ancestors."
Family Tree Connection contains genealogical data from over 2,200 resources, capturing vital records and hard-to-find details of the lives of ancestors. Every weekday new items are added to the collection -- capturing thousands of names. Subscribers (and non-subscribers as well) can efficiently filter the updates with a free service called Surname Tracker that sends an email whenever information matching their surnames is added.
All of the data is carefully transcribed and each resource (including page number) is displayed along with the names to ensure that researchers can accurately record the source of the information. While the collection focuses on the United States, a growing number of resources from Canada and the United Kingdom are regularly being added.
"We've got thousands of resources waiting to be transcribed containing millions of names," added Illya. "We're committed to building one of the largest online family history information collections. Your subscription to Family Tree Connection guarantees you won't miss a single update."
Annual subscriptions offer unlimited access to the Family Tree Connection database, along with a 5% discount on all purchases in The Marketplace at Genealogy Today. The regular price for a one-year subscription is $29.95 with discounts for 24 and 36 month subscriptions. Visitors may sample the database risk-free by using the index search to see if there are any possible matches before they subscribe.
