Genealogy Site Launches Weekly Column on Leap Day

GenealogyToday.com is pleased to announce the addition of a new column geared for amateur and expert genealogists. Beginning February 29, 2000, "Turning Over New Leaves" will be published every week, spotlighting a different genealogy web site of interest to researchers.

Joining the GenealogyToday.com team with writing responsibilities for this new column is Judy Sander Cockrell, a genealogist with years of experience researching both off- and on-line. Judy's candid and playful writing style reveals the lighter side of genealogy, while illustrating the research potential of these sites.

"I'm very excited to have someone as energetic and enthusiastic as Judy join our team," said Illya D'Addezio, editor of the GenealogyToday.com web site. "Having a weekly feature like this will be well received by our audience. There are so many web sites out there, and all too often some very unique resources are overlooked. Judy is going to dig up those gems."

If you have never had the opportunity to visit GenealogyToday.com, it's a site oriented around the newest and most recently updated genealogy information on the web. In addition to tracking new genealogy sites, it includes articles, news highlights, a reunion guide, an adoption research area, plus religion and library resources.

"I'm thrilled to join the GenealogyToday.com project with this new column," added Judy. "What better day to begin than February 29, 2000 -- the first leap day of the new Millennium! This is only the beginning of many firsts to come!"
