The site known as GenCity.com has merged with "What's New in Genealogy ... Today!" (GenealogyToday.com). All of the features from GenCity.com are being migrated over to GenealogyToday.com, in fact many already have. This merger will form one of the largest up-and-coming genealogy news/portal sites on the Internet.
"I'm very excited about this new arrangement," explained the creator of GenealogyToday.com, Illya D'Addezio. "GenCity.com contained over 20 different databases, the sum of which represent over 20,000 links to genealogy web sites. GenealogyToday.com had just reached 10,000 family classified ads, so combined this is going to be a lot of helpful information."
If you've never visited GenealogyToday.com, it's a site oriented around the newest and most recently updated genealogy information on the web. It includes news highlights, a reunion guide, an adoption research area, search reviews, plus new features are added regularly. Something new to this site will be coverage of both Library Sciences and Religion, two natural extensions to genealogy. Links to thousands of libraries around the United States, and detailed information about numerous religious faiths top the list of resources these new areas contain.
In the months ahead, this site will be adding several columnists, along with a variety of new databases and unique features. GenealogyToday.com is serving a growing audience of genealogy enthusiasts and earning accolades along the way.
