ProGenealogists, Inc., a licensed research firm, announced a partnership with Genealogy Today (www.genealogytoday.com) to provide professional services to genealogists throughout North America and Europe.
"Genealogy Today site has developed a growing community that certainly seems to be a lively and interesting group. We at ProGenealogists, Inc. look forward to helping this community with their family history needs offline," commented Natalie Cottrill, one of the founding partners of ProGenealogists. "With access to a wealth of non-Internet genealogical records including over 2.2 million rolls of microfilm, more than 742,000 microfiche, and over 300,000 books, our skilled genealogists can open a world of new research possibilities to Genealogy Today community members."
ProGenealogists will offer visitors to Genealogy Today premium research services for locating their ancestors. "We have the strength of several renowned and skilled genealogists who are available to provide research. This diversity allows us to broaden the range and scope of our research specialties," Natalie explained.
"This is a perfect extension of what we are trying to accomplish at Genealogy Today," added Illya D'Addezio, the site's owner. "Visitors often ask us where to turn when they've reached the limit of their own expertise. In the past we've been hesitant about giving referrals, but the collective experience and integrity of ProGenealogists has definitely changed that."
In addition to highlighting the services offered by ProGenealogists on the Genealogy Today web site, the two groups will also be working together on a series of articles designed to help individuals understand how a professional researcher can augment their projects. "There are several reasons that we have found prompt clients to hire professional genealogists, but most often clients are simply at a place in their research where their efforts have stopped yielding results," says Natalie.
